THE NEW PAPER INTERVIEWS YU ZHE :D
HIS name is Danson Tang
and he's usually mistaken for
being part of the Taiwanese boy group Fahrenheit.
That may be because he has often worked
with the quartet which comprises Wu Chun,
Danson has acted in drama serials
such as KO One with three Fahrenheit members
-
and on Hana Kimi with two of them
-
And he stars with all four in
the new serial The X Family.
He has also travelled with the
group on tours to promote their
rama serials.
"We film together very often,
so it's no surprise that
I'm often mistaken
as a Fahrenheit member,"
Danson told The New Paper
over the phone from Taiwan recently.
(CHERYL: OMG SHITTY BANGBANG,
THE NEW PAPER REPORTER GOT TO TALK TO HIM! D8)
'I'm like a part of them,
and I nearly joined the group,'
he revealed.
The 23-year-old claimed he has been approached
by Fahrenheit's company to join the band but he
declined after some consideration.
He explained: 'We have different musical directions
and I like to experiment with different things
and try out more genres of music.
"My current label (Avex Taiwan)
also thinks I'm more suitable to go solo."
Indeed, Danson has released his debut album, Love Me,
in August and it has sold more than
50,000 copies in Taiwan within a month.
He said: "I'm always acting characters that are cool and bad,
so the album is to show my warm, real and sensitive side."
Unlike the bubbly and chirpy Fahrenheit members,
Danson's face says he's cool, aloof and a playboy.
(CHERYL: TEEHEEHEE(: PLAAAAY BOY! :DD)
But he claims he's just introverted and shy.
He said: "Because I don't know what to
say to people, they mistake me as aloof.
Actually I'm just very shy."
Unlike the flamboyant roles he often plays
in drama serials like Hana Kimi,
he says he is no lady-killer.
"The more I like a girl, the more aloof I will become,
so the girl would fall for other guys," he said with a sigh. (AWWW! XDDD)
Nevertheless, the heart-throb admitted
that he has had five relationships,
his first love being at 14. (*GASPS!* xDD)
But he said it was mostly the girls who
took the initiative after he did sweet little things
to show his affection.
Danson may seem like a meek one when
it concerns affairs of the heart,
but he has shown his resilient side
when it comes to his career.
It was reported that when he acted
in his first drama serial, Nine Balls,
in 2004, he was allegedly slapped by one
of the directors for his poor performance.
Danson denied this,
saying that he was only reprimanded.
He said: 'But without that, I wouldn't have improved.
I had no formal acting training,
so I must thank them for spurring me on.'
Now that his star is on the up,
he has to learn how to deal with the
increasing tabloid reports and gossips.
The Taiwanese media recently reported
that he had snatched the role of a rich
and talented chef in the new GTV drama serial,
Dan Chao Fan (literally translated as Fried Rice With Egg)
from Aaron.
Danson said: "I had left the decision to GTV.
But I felt helpless when I saw the news
and was feeling a bit down."
"But I'm getting used to such reports as
they help generate publicity for the show."
He is hailed as Taiwan's little king of
drama serials and TV viewers will remember
him for playing the mean, vengeance-seeking Lei Ke Si
in KO One and the vain, flirtatious Liang Sinan in Hana Kimi.
(FLIRTATIOUS DAN! :DDDD)
He always seem so well-coiffed
like his characters, so it's hard to
believe that he doesn't really care how he looks.
He said: "After being in this line of work,
I'm more vain now because you have to be
responsible for your looks.
"In the past, I didn't really care about my looks.
Not that I'm dirty, but I did get scolded by my
company for being sloppy, wearing just T-shirts
and jeans and not styling my hair."
He even finds his current long floppy hair
- a necessity for handsome boys to charm
female fans in today's showbusiness climate -
troublesome to upkeep.
He added: "I liked my short hair (in Nine Balls).
I want to cut it back to that length, it's easier to maintain."
GASPS! OMYZ, HE WANTS TO CUT HIS HAIRRRRR!
TO HIS HAIRSTYLE; WAAAAAY BACK BEFORE HANA KIMI! DDD8
&HE'LL LOOK LIKE THIS:

:DDDDD
WELL, HE IS STILL DAMN CUTE(:
BUT I RATHER THE NAN XUE ZHANG PERIOD
IF HE WANTS HIS HAIR SHORT! D:
I LOVE HIS CURRENT HAIR-
AS LONG AS HE HAS THE SIDES HAWTLY BRAIDED UP
&TIED UP AT THE BACK; CUUUTE+HAWT+SEXY :D
